As plant based eaters here at Vitalicious, it’s great to be able to visit street food stalls throughout summer and to know that increasingly there are things for us. However could you imagine what it would be like if you went to a dedicated event that catered for veggies, vegans alike?
Well look no further. The Moveable Feast is a brand new pop-up concept bringing together three amazing start-up food companies who will rotate and have an opportunity to showcase their vegetarian/vegan menus in an intimate cafe space for the next 6 months. They have recently started and have ambitious plans.
This delightful vegetarian food emporium is the perfect compliment to the buzzing street food scene, an addition that we’re sure will be welcomed by many! There is also quality artisan coffee, pastries and cakes from Three Wheels Coffee.
Here are some of the vendors you can expect to see:
Club Mexicana offers a bold twist on Mexican street food. Vegan dishes packed to the rafters with flavour guaranteed to get your tastebuds dancing. They will be serving their amazing BBQ pulled jack fruit/ chipotle bean burritos and tacos with sides of chilli and lime soup and for dessert chipotle chocolate truffles and to drink- hot hibiscus tea.
Horn OK Please – The team behind top Indian veggie street food brand Horn Ok Please felt that London was missing out on the whole street food experience found throughout the sub-continent. They want to expand peoples perceptions of Indian food away from their local curry house. They have put their passion into every plate and ensure that every customer gets a holistic experience and not just a delicious meal. They have come up with a brilliant menu at The Moveable Feast that includes their ‘Roadside Romeo’ Moong Dal dosas, Bhel Puri and Channa Chaat- chickpeas in a rich tomato sauce topped with pomegranates with lashings of home-made chutney.
The Salad Kitchen was created by two veg loving foodies who felt that the salad bars in London were disappointing and a better way of doing it would be to focus on the house salads and make sure that what they are creating would be exciting and unusual. They wanted to create salads that you weren’t going to find elsewhere or create on a whim at a ‘build your own’ salad bar.
